Ever since Honda has split from Hero, it has been trying to establish itself in the tough Indian motorcycle market . And no doubt, it has been successful too. Thanks to its great products and a strong after sales support network. Its products like the Unicorn and the Activa have been quite popular too. One of its most premium products, the CBR250R, has become quite old. As a result, its sales also have gone down. To make up for it and to make its mark in India again, Honda might just bring the CBR300R in India. If reports are to be believed, the CBR300R will launch in India in April/May 2018 at a price of Rs 2,00,000. In this post we will provide you with all available details on the Honda CBR300R India launch date, price, specifications, features, etc .
Honda CBR300R India
Honda CBR300R India – Price
|Standard Variant Price*||Rs 2,00,000|
|ABS Variant Price*||Rs 2,20,000|
*estimated prices ex-showroom Delhi
The price of the Honda CBR300R shown above is based on the CBR250R’s price in India. There is a good logic behind that. Between CBR300 R and CBR 250R there is a 50cc difference. Accordingly, there would be a difference in power output and other features as well. The Honda CBR250R was launched in India at a price of Rs 1.60 lakh. Hence the chances of the CBR300R getting priced below Rs 2.50 lakh are quite high.
Honda CBR300R India – Launch Date
|Launch Date||April/May 2018|
There is a high probability that the Honda CBR300R will make its debut in India at Auto Expo 2018. After its unveiling, the bike should go on sale in India in April/May 2018. However, it has to be seen how exactly these things develop.
Honda CBR300R India – Specifications
|Engine displacement and type||286cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, SOHC, single cylinder|
|Suspension (front/rear)||37mm telescopic forks/Link-type, pre-load adjustable Monoshock|
|Brakes (front/rear)||Single 296mm disc/Single 220mm disc|
Since the bike is already on sale in international markets, we have a good idea of Honda CBR300R’s specifications. All the specifications mentioned above are standard for this bike except the rear suspension. The adjust-ability on the rear suspension is a very nice addition to the specifications of the CBR300R. Honda’s past record of great manufacturing assures that the refinement levels will be top notch.
Honda CBR300R India – Mileage
|City Mileage||30 kmpl|
|Highway Mileage||35 kmpl|
The mileage does not look too good even on paper. However, this is due to the fact that the bike will be powered by a 286 cc engine. Even though the mileage may not be great, the ride quality of the Honda CBR330 R would be excellent. Honda has always maintained that it will manufacture bikes that are easy for daily use. The Honda CBR330R should be no different and should be great one to ride even for general daily use.
Honda CBR300R India – Top Speed
|Top Speed||170 kmph|
Honda bikes are seldom known for their top speeds. except when it is the CBR1100XX Super Blackbird. The Honda CBR300R may go beyond the 150kmph easily. However, one would have to find some great roads in India to maintain that type of a speed.
Honda CBR300R India – Features
- Fuel-injected engine
- Five-spoke alloy wheels
- Tubeless tyres
- Split seats
- Split grab rails
- Dual tone paint scheme
- Dual-Channel ABS (optional)
- LED taillamps
- Combi-braking system
- Adjustable rear suspension
- Disc brakes front and rear
The Honda CBR300R would be undoubtedly a feature rich bike. It has great features that focus on rider safety such as a combi-braking system that brakes both wheels and ABS. The split seats and alloy wheels give it a sporty touch. The dual-tone paint scheme adds to its styling.
Honda CBR300R India – Design
Honda took inspiration from the CBR1000RR and CBR600RR instead of the VFR1200F to design the CBR300R. Hence, it now gets twin headlamps instead of a single headlamp. Honda has tried to cut on the costs by not putting in costly equipment like upside down forks. They make the CBR300R look just a slight better than ordinary but do the job. The CBR300 R gets its speedo console from the CBR250R which is still an analog one. That said, the rest of the speedo is digital. Honda should have tried to get rid of the stainless steel exhaust end can for a black unit. That would have given this bike some much-needed advantage on the styling front.
