Welcome the New Year 2018 and here is the company, Maruti to launch 3 new cars in India in 2018
The three cars to be launched by Maruti in 2018 are the all-new Maruti Swift, all-new WagonR and all-new Ertiga. All these 3 cars have added immensely to the success story of Maruti Suzuki and are greatly popular among the buyers. The 3 cars are expected to land in the Indian market in their all-new avatars and are expected to be well received by the buyers like the existing ones.
New Swift 2018
The all-new Swift 2018 is likely to be priced under Rs. 5 lakh which is being built over the same light weight HEARTECT platform as that of Maruti’s Baleno and Dzire. This will make the car around 10-15% lighter than the current Swift, the production of which has already been now ceased. The lesser weight of the new car is going to add to its mileage and response. The all-new swift will come with both the same 1200cc petrol and 1284cc diesel engine options as that of the existing Swift. The gearbox in both the petrol and diesel version will have manual as well as AMT option in the new model.
The launch of the all-new Swift is expected very soon and it will also be showcased at Auto Expo next month.
The next launch in 2018 after the all-new Swift is likely to be the all-new WagonR. This launch could be by the year end 2018. The new model will undergo lots of changes giving it all together new look except that it would retain the tall-boy form factor. The engine is expected to be the same 1 litre K series petrol engine as that of the current model which will be mated with 5-speed manual and AMT option. The all-new WagonR is also expected to be offered with LPG and CNG Duo duel fuel variants.
The launch of the all-new Ertiga is expected to follow the all-new wagonR. The new Ertiga is also being built over the HEARTECT platform. This new launch is likely to be larger and roomier than the current model. The all-new Ertiga is also expected to come with both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol engine will be 1.5 litre M15A unit with 107 Bhp power and 140 Nm torque while the diesel engine would be 1.4 litre turbocharged unit. Both the manual and AMT options are expected to be offered with the petrol and diesel engine options in all-new Ertiga. It is understood that the testing of the all-new Ertiga has already started and alunch could be around the year end 2018.
