After a lot of delays, Renault India today finally launched the Captur SUV (aka Kaptur) in India’s ever-growing car market. The price of the new Renault Captur starts at Rs 9.99 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 13.88 lakh. The new Captur SUV has gone on sale in both diesel and petrol variants. Interestingly, the Captur gets its engines and the B0 platform with the Duster. The new model will primarily rival the Hyundai Creta in India. This latest launch from Renault India in the form of Captur offers a great mix of performance, features and looks.

The Captur is priced higher than the Duster. It has a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh for the base Petrol, and Rs 11.39 lakh for the base Diesel. The Captur would compete with primarily the Hyundai Creta. Its top-end variants also rival the entry-level models of the Tata Hexa and the Mahindra XUV500.

The Petrol model is available in three variants, while the Diesel gets four variants. This is the first time that the car manufacturer has launched its flagship Platine variant in India.

The new Renault Captur offers two engine options. A petrol and a Diesel. The Captur gets these engines from the Duster. This means the latest SUV from Renault goes on to offer a 1.5-litre H4K petrol and a 1.5-litre K9K Diesel. The engines offer 105 BHP and 108 BHP of power respectively. The peak torque is rated at 142 Nm for the Petrol and 245 Nm for the Diesel options. The transmission options include a 5-speed Manual for the Petrol variant and a 6-speed Manual for the Diesel variants.
Renault Captur India- Mileage
Since the Captur gets its engine from the Duster, the mileage remains the same as that of the Duster. The petrol variants of the Captur can easily offer a mileage of up to 15 kmpl. Whereas, the Diesel model can offer up to 22 kmpl.
