Suzuki Gixxer SF with ABS | Price, Mileage, Specifications, Features

SMIPL (Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd ) has been quite regular with updating the Gixxer 155 as well as the Gixxer SF.  Suzuki has now come up with the much anticipated ABS variant of the Gixxer SF. The new Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS is based on the Fuel Injection variant. It is priced at Rs 95,499 ( ex-showroom price). The ABS option is available for both the  FI and carbureted versions. The introduction of ABS increases has increased the price by Rs 6,200 only. The bike is also likely to get a new Tri-Colour paint option in the near future.

Apart from the ABS, there are no changes in the specifications of the bike. The bike cwould be powered by the same 154.9cc engine that churns out a max. power of 14.8 PS and a peak torque of 14 Nm. The transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox. The Gixxer SF ABS variant is available with both carbureted and fuel-injected engine options.

The new Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS does not get any cosmetic changes. However, Suzuki will launch the new Tri-Colour paint option soon.  That said, apart from the ABS sticker and the new color scheme, there is nothing new about the bike. The ABS model is priced Rs 6,20 more than the non-ABS model.

The addition of ABS has obviously increased the price of the bike. The standard model, i.e the non-ABS model has an ex-showroom price of around Rs 89,219, while the FI model is priced at Rs 93,032. The price of the ABS model start at Rs 95,499. Whereas the FI model with ABS costs around Rs 99,312.  Gixxer SF ABS is the first bike in it’s segment to have an ABS.

Due to the fuel injection system, this variant is more fuel efficient  than the carburetor equipped Suzuki Gixxer. The Gixxer SF ABS can return a mileage of 60 KMPL. In city conditions, it returns about 50 km/ltr of mileage.

Apart from the ABS, there are no changes to the specifications of the Suzuki Gixxer SF. The Gixxer SF ABS is powered by the same single-cylinder, 154.9 cc engine that powers the standard (non-ABS model). The engine churns out  14.8 PS of power and a peak torque of 14 Nm. The  engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no kick start mechanism. Thanks to the fuel injection system.
