Tata Motors has come up with its impressive production figures of Tata Nexon SUV yesterday. The sub compact SUV is manufactured at the company’s production facility at Ranjangaon, near Pune in Maharashtra. As per the reports, the company has already crossed the 10,000 mark production milestone from the Ranjangaon facility in a little over two months time since its launch on 21st September, 2017. Tata Motors has further plans to increase the production level of Nexon as currently it is facing a large gap in the production and demand. It also plans simultaneously to introduce the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) option for both the petrol and diesel versions. This feature will make the Tata Nexon a leader in the subcompact SUV segment as no other SUV in the segment offers AMT. Presently, the sub-4 meter SUV places itself as a strong rival to the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300 and Honda WR-V.
Currently, the Tata Nexon places itself in the most affordable category in subcompact SUV segment at an attractive price range from 5.85 lakh to 9.44lakh (ex-showroom price Delhi).
The Tata Nexon has adopted the company’s latest impact design feature borrowing some of the features from the Land Rover SUV. The subcompact SUV is available in four trims, XE, XM, XT and XZ+ with a choice of five attractive colors namely, Moroccan Blue, Vermont Red, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey and Calgary White. The ZX+ version of the SUV comes with a dual tone option with a gloss black finished roof.
The Tata Nexon also comes with impressive features like projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps and well laid impressive dashboard. It also has interesting features like dash to HD infotainment display and a multi-driving mode system and premium looking interiors.
The Tata Nexon SUV is equipped with 1.2 litre, three cylinder turbocharged Revotron engine with 108 Bhp and 170 Nm in petrol version. The diesel version comes with 1.5 litre four cylinder turbocharged Revotorq diesel engine with 108 Bhp and 260 Nm making it the most powerful SUV under sub-4 meter segment. Both the petrol and diesel versions get multi-drive modes and six speed gearbox. The compact SUV has dimensions of 3994 x 1811 x 1607 mm (length x width x height) and a wheel base of 2499 mm making 5.1 meter as the turning circle radius.
The features of the Tata Nexon SUV make it as one of the most stylish, cool and new-gen cross over compact SUV in India. Being the best priced in the segment, it is attracting more and more buyers in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment.
