We are a big market.
With increasing disposable income in the hands of the burgeoning middle-upper class, auto carmakers are trying to tap every possible section of car buyers in India. That’s why automotive industry in India is full with a variety of cars in various segments. Especially the MPVs.
MPVs are in huge demand in the domestic market. It is largely because of their capacious seating arrangements, a generous boot for luggage, and driving comfort on long routes. Either it’s domestic or global auto giants, either for passenger or commercial purposes, some of MPVs come with off-road capabilities that allow cars to be driven effortlessly in all types of terrain.
If you’re looking for MPV, here are TOP 3 Upcoming MPVs 2018, expected to hit the market this year.
With precise pricing, this MPV could give a much-needed boost to the brand’s flailing fortunes. We all know that Nissan’s sub-brand has been slow in bringing the car to the market. Fortunately, there is no sign of slowing down in the demand of crossover SUV, Datsun Go Cross.
The model still holds a lot of relevance to the market. It has grabbed a lot of attention since Auto Expo 2016. With its jacked-up stance, skid plates, radical front-end styling, and beefy body cladding, Datsun GO+ will get better sales this year.
It will come early 2018 with price estimated between Rs 6-8 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
The second generation of this type will be launched around mid 2018. Priced at Rs 7-12 lakh and powered with 1.4P, 1.3D engine. Back at 2012, Maruti’s Life Utility Vehicle (LUV) has been a consistent performer for the brand since its launch.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has best scores on most parameters including comfort, ownership, and performance. It was also cheaper than Innova and of course – it was MARUTI! In next August, the automotive manufacturer will launch its new generation. What’s new on maruti Suzuki Ertiga new generation?
By the looks of it, Maruti’s new MPV will be longer and wider. The wheels will be upsized till 16-inch wheels. It could get a more upright stance upfront with a high-set nose and front bumper. At rear area, there is longer overhang which means more space for the third-row passengers with extra luggage space. The current model is powered with Fiat’s 1.3 D engine but it will be replaced with a 1.5 litre diesel engine.
This is the most expensive of the three. Priced at Rs 9-15 lakh. It has biggest engine with 1.6 litre diesel. Will it be a winner on the market? Let’s analyze it.
We can start with a void in the market left by Innova in the Rs 10-15 lakh price bracket. That’s why Mahindra is now betting big on its brand new seven-seat MPV. It will not only fill the void in the market but also want to take rivalry with the best-selling (and higher price) Innova Crysta. The upcoming type will be lighter than Innova Crysta.
Until this article is published, there is no official name for the MPV. The MPV replacing the Xylo is now code named U32. But it is confirmed that the unnamed car will have a new 140 hp engine with 1.6 litre capacity, four-cylinder, mFalcon diesel engine. The machine is jointly developed with SsangYong, Korean carmaker, and will be a part of the carmaker’s future models.
Interior sections will be all-new and equipped with the latest infotainment features and comfort. It has AC vents for all three rows. Mahindra offer seven seater and eight seater options. Unlike Tata Hexa and Crysta, that have a heavier body-on-frame construction, Mahindra U321 will come in a monocoque construction.
The mysterious car will come early in this year.
So, that’s it for now. These Top 3 MPVs will launch in India at 2018. Don’t forget to come to the Auto Expo this February. While you read the end of this article and enjoy the information we provide, you may interested to read another article, too.
