The new Triumph Street Scrambler has finally launched in India. It is based on the street twin, and has gone on sale for a price of Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom price). The new Triumph Street Scrambler gets many features as well as components from the Triumph Street Twin. The specifications of the two motorcycles are also similar. The highlights of the features are- spiked foot-pegs, a USB charging hub that is under the seat and a 19-inch front spoke wheel with dual-purpose Metzeler Tourance tyres.

The new Triumph Street Scrambler in India gets its engine from the Street Twin. So, the Street Scrambler is powered by a 900cc, SOHC , parallel-twin engine that churns out a max. power of 54 BHP. The motorcycle gets better braes than its donor model. It also provides a higher riding comfort due to the lower seat and a more practical and comfortable riding posture. The new motorcycle will surely give a tough competition to the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled.

The new Triumph Street Scrambler is powered by the same engine as that of the Street Twin. This 8-valve, 900cc, parallel-twin engine churns out a max. power of 54 BHP @ 6,000 RPM and a peak torque of 80 Nm @ 2,850 RPM. The engine comes mated with a smooth shifting 5-speed manual transmission system. It has a wet, multi-plate assist clutch. The engine offers a strong grunt even at very low engine speeds. The throttle response is very precise and quick.
