Earlier this year, Yamaha India had come up with the FZ25 streetnaked. The Indian subsidiary of the famous Japanese bike has launched the full-fairing version of the FZ25 called the Fazer 25. The Fazer 25 would rival the 200-250cc full-fairing motorcycles in this particular price range. It should be noted that here that even the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is based on the Pulsar NS 200 streetnaked. The Fazer25 will be likely marketed as a sports-tourer. The FZ25 is priced aggressively. Same goes with the Fazer 25. The Yamaha Fazer 25 will become rival the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200. So we decided to compare the Yamaha Fazer 25 and the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200. So here is our Yamaha Fazer 25 vs Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 comparison of price, specification, mileage, top speed and design.

Yamaha Fazer 25 vs Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 – Comparison
Much like the international-spec Fazer 25, the India spec Fazer 25 sports front fairing. However, the Fazer 25 for India looks a bit sportier as it’s fairing is much more elaborate. Have a look at the picture below.
Yamaha Fazer 25 vs Bajaj Pulsar RS 200- Price Comparison
|Yamaha Fazer 250||Rs 1.28 Lakh|
|Bajaj Pulsar RS200||Rs 1.21 – 1.33 Lakh|
The Fazer 25 is costlier than the FZ25 due to the front fairing. The Fazer25 is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai . Whereas the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 has been on sale in a price range of Rs 1.21 lakh to Rs 1.33 lakh. Bajaj has always priced its products competitively and hence the same goes with the RS 200. It has to be seen if the Yamaha Fazer 25 can give the RS 200 a stiff competition despite pricing the Fazer 25 considerably higher.

The Fazer 25 has the same , fuel-injected, air-cooled, 249cc engine which powers the FZ25. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission system. The FZ25 is well known to be a relaxed cruiser and the same is expected from the Fazer 25.
On the other hand, the Pulsar RS200, like the other Pulsars, has an engine that gives more priority to power. As shown in the table above, the Fazer25’s engine delivers a peak power of 20.9 PS. Whereas despite the lower displacement the Pulsar’s engine outputs 24.4 PS. Even though the peak torque is slightly lower, it comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. So when it comes to specifications, the RS200 has a clear edge over the Fazer25.

Yamaha Fazer 25 vs Bajaj Pulsar RS 200- Design Comparison
The Fazer 25 is built on the same diamond-frame chassis on which the FZ25 is built. It can be said that the Fazer25 is much of a FZ25 with an aggressive looking fairing. Due to the addition of a rather bulky fairing, the Fazer 25 is larger and looks like a much bigger bike. That said, the addition of a fairing has definitely lead to a higher kerb weight. Despite this the Fazer 25 is still lighter than the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. The RS 200’s projector headlamps, racy decals, a sharply styled tailpiece, etc give the it a more racier look. Both these bikes have a digital speedo. However, the tachometer of the RS 200 is analogue. As per us, when it comes to design, the Yamaha Fazer 25 is ahead of the Pulsar RS 200.
