The first generation R15 got an update in the form of the Yamaha YZF-R15 . The engine is very sporty.  The linear power delivery makes the YZF-R15 a great bike to ride, in the city as well as on the highways. This bike gets its power from a 150cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 16.7bhp of power and 15Nm of torque. The engine comes mated with a 6-speed gearbox. Yamaha claims a mileage of 42km/l for this bile. The R15 weighs 136kg.

The Honda CBR150 R is can be called as  scaled down version of the 250 R which features similar design language. The CBR150 R is targeted at the younger audience. The Honda CBR150 R gets its power from a 149cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 18bhp of power and 12.6Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Honda claims a mileage of 38km/ltr for the CBR150 R  and it weighs 138kg.

3. Bajaj V15

The Bajaj V15 is well known for carrying  a piece of history even though the motorcycle is very new. Various parts of the V15 were made from the iconic INS Vikrant, which is a retired aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy. This sole reason was good enough to make the V15 one of the best selling Bajaj bike in the country. The Bajaj V15 is powered by the same engine that powers the Bajaj Pulsar, however in a different state of tune. The V15 is equipped with a 149cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine which pumps out a maximum power of 11.8bhp and a peak torque of 13Nm. The engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox. Suzuki Gixxer

The Suzuki Gixxer helped Suzuki to establish itself in the Indian market. The Gixxer’s success was primarily due to its design and sporty nature. The design of the Gixxer was inspired by the bigger GSX models. The Gixxer also features a unique exhaust design which is rarely seen in this segment. The Suzuki Gixxer is equipped with a single-cylinder air-cooled 155cc engine which churns out 14bhp and 14Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj Pulsar 150

It has been so successful that it created sales record in the country. The Pulsar 150 was also the first model ever to feature a standard front disc brake in India. The current Hero Hunk is a cosmetically updated version of the model that was launched when Hero and Honda were together in collaboration. The Hero Achiever is one of the most affordable bikes in the 150cc segment. Hero MotoCorp recently gave some cosmetic and mechanical updates to the bike. The Hero Achiever gets features such as an Always Headlight On (AHO) and the i3S technology. The bike is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that pumps out 13bhp of power and 13Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Achiver returns a mileage of 58 km/ltr and can reach a top speed of 111km/hr.  The Achiever weighs 138kg.

Bajaj Discover 150F is primarily a commuter bike. It is the third model in the discover range of bikes and features a half fairing. This makes it a standout feature in this particular segment . The Bajaj Discover 150F is powered by a new 150cc,  single-cylinder air-cooled engine with 4-valve technology. The engine pumps out 14bhp of power and a peak torque of 12.75Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
