Introducing, 2018 Bajaj Avenger 180
Compared to Suzuki Intruder 150, The Bajaj Avenger 180 will be much cheaper but offered with more power. Bajaj tries to solve lack of power problem that most Avenger 150 feels. To make it more interesting, buyers could get ABS option. The engine is going to be sourced from Pulsar 180 with slight de-tuning as Avenger 220.
Launched to replace the entry-level, Avenger 150, this new bike will be more powerful, have a better design, and supported by more features. The new Avenger will borrow its engine from the Pulsar 180. Currently, Avenger 150 is sold at Rs 81,459 lakhs (ex-showroom) Delhi. The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 is estimated to get a Rs 5000 price bump. So, the final price will be around Rs 85,000. Though it’s getting more expensive, but it is still A LOT CHEAPER than the Suzuki Intruder 150 that retails for Rs 98,340.
Of course it’s a crazy offer. You get bigger displacement, more powerful engine, but with much cheaper price. At this point, you may ask. “Why Bajaj offers such low price, compared to Suzuki? Is it because it has lower specifications?”

2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 Specifications
Powering the Avenger 180 is the 178.2 cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, that is capable to generate 17 bhp and 14 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Compared to the 150 series, of course 2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 figures more power. Avenger 150 only produces 14.3 bhp and 12.5 Nm of torque.
The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 will gave telescopic suspension embedded with anti-friction bust at front and twin-shock absorber at the rear. The braking system features a 130mm drum brake, does its duty at the rear while at front, there is 240mm disc brake. Apart from that, other mechanical components will remain unchanged.

2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 Design
We can feel the serious upgrades Bajaj put to the Avenger 180. The new 2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 will have a new instrument cluster and updated electronics on board. There’s a couple of visual updates such as, there will be more chrome added to the cruiser. There is also new graphics and decals replace the current ones. The handlebar is ready to be replaced by a high-set unit featuring new design elements. The exhaust and fuel tank is supposed to be updated, too.
Exactly like the current model, the new model will be available in two trims – Cruise and Street. For the cruise, an all black treatment has been applied to the engine, exhaust, and the alloys being blacked out. What a masculine design.

Should you buy?
You know, this is actually not the first time that Bajaj is introducing the Avenger 180. Back then when Kawasaki Eliminator 145 was discontinued, Bajaj had brought in the series. Now, Bajaj is reviving the model with modern touch.
With better design and feature, also bigger power, Bajaj Avenger 180 will give you better value for money compared to Suzuki Intruder 150.
