Menza Lukat Electric Bike Launched by Menza Motors

Menza Motors Pvt. Ltd is a new startup, an electrical automobile manufacturing company based in Ahmadabad Gujarat. Set up with the vision to bring change in the automobile industry in India, it has launched its Menza Lukat Electric Bike at the recently concluded 2018 Auto Expo. Only the Lukat concept electric bike was displayed at the Expo by the company. Though the concept bike was not giving an impressive look, the company is expected to make many refinements in the bike when it is made available in the market. The electric Bike is being launched as a performance bike which can deliver a max. torque of 60 Nm. Its launch price has been kept at Rs. 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom).

The bike comes with an air cooled brushless DC motor which is powered by a 72 Volt, 6KWh lithium-ion battery pack. The Motor and battery combination can deliver 18 KW (24 Bhp) power at 3000 rpm and 60 Nm peak torque. It also makes available 20 Nm torque at 0 rpm. The company claims a range of 100 km in city traffic and 150 km on highways. The top speed claimed is 120 kmph. The power is directly fed to the rear wheel when operating as there is no transmission. The battery can be fully charged in 90 minutes in fast charging mode and in 4 hours in normal charging mode. As per the company sources, the Lukat bike has been tested for more than 10,000 km to ensure trouble free service to the riders.

The Menza Lukat Electric Bike offers wide flexibility where the riders can change specifications like body type, seat height, foot rest position according to individual preference. We can say that the Lukat bike is rather a fully customizable bike. The body is available in optional carbon fibre. The bodywork also offers 77 color options. It comes with clip-on handlebars, cantilevered tailpiece, spoke wheels, twin-tub swingarm and circular LED headlamps. The suspension service is performed by WP forks at the front and monoshock shock absorber at the rear. The braking duty is executed through a 300 mm disc brake at the front while the rear gets a 230 mm disc brake. Both the wheels of the bike are 17-inches shode with Metzeler tubeless tyres. The weight of the bike is 153 kg.

Menza Lukat Electric Bike – Price

The Lukat bike is priced at Rs. 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom) which appears to be bit higher.

The electric Bike has been developed by the company using more than 80% indigenous parts. Looking at this factor, the bike appears to have a promising future and can help the company to offer the bike at a lower price in the long run than. It is also expected that the Lukat bike will come with handsome discount after the subsidies available under FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles) scheme.

Menza Lukat Electric Bike – Booking

The Menza Lukat Electric Bike will be offered for sale through e-commerce platform. The booking has already started at Paytm Mall and the pre-booking is open till 28 February 2018. One can book the bike by paying the booking amount of Rs. 10,000. The company is also offering the option of buying the bike at a price of Rs. 1.80 lakh without battery and takes it on rent at a cost of Rs. 4,000 per month.
