More detailed info on the Royal Enfield 750cc bike have finally arrived! The upcoming Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 will rival the likes of the Harley Davidson Street 750. It is likely that the images you see here is actually the upcoming Continental 750 cc model in its production form. While we aren’t perfectly sure about this, one thing is sure that the launch of a bigger Continental GT is very much in the offing. It is expected that the 2017 Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 cc will have a launch price of Rs 3.5 Lakh in India.


The upcoming 750cc Royal Enfield is likely to be launched in the UK first. This bigger Continental GT will become the flagship model from the iconic Indian bike manufacturer. The India launch of this bike should take place in the mid-2018. Given the immense popularity that the Royal Enfield enjoys in India, the Continental GT 750 cc should give a tough competition to the highly revered bikes from Harley Davidson. If nothing much happens, at least the 750cc GT should become a worthy upgrade for current Royal Enfield owners.

The Royal Enfield  Continental GT 750 cc should launch in the Europe first. The new Royal Enfield motorcycle could go on sale in the coming months in Europe. However in India, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 launch is likely to take place only by the mid of 2018. It is likely that this 750 cc cafe racer could make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018.

With this price tag, the Continental GT 750cc model will have the highest price for any Royal Enfield motorcycle. As of now, the Harley Davidson Street 750 has a sticker price of Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Therefore, it is very much possible that the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 would enjoy a great price advantage over its immediate rivals.

The upcoming Royal Enfield GT 750 cc motorcycle will be powered by a 750cc twin-cylinder engine that will benefit from liquid cooling and fuel injection. The transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual system . The engine would pump of a maximum power of 46 BHP and a peak torque around 62 Nm. In comparison, the 535cc Contiental GT enjoys a maximum power of 29 BHP and a peak torque of 44 Nm with the engine mated to a 5-speed transmission system.

The 2017 Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 will share the brake and suspension components with the 535cc version. This means that the upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycle will get the conventional telescopic forks up front and gas-charged twin rear shock-absorbers. Braking duties will be handled by a 300 mm disc brake at front and a 240 mm disc brake at the rear. The Continetal GT 750 will get a pair of tubeless tires.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750, being a big displacement bike, fuel mileage will be considerably lower than other Royal Enfield bikes. We expect a peak fuel mileage of 20 KMPL. In city conditions, the mileage would come down to approximately 15 KMPL.

In Royal Enfield Continental GT 750’s design will be similar to that of the  RE 535cc model. This means the bike will retain the very typical retro-style cafe racer appearance. The only notable difference is likely to arouse from a twin exhaust setup and a bigger engine. Apart than this, the bike is most likely to continue having the same  headlamp,  instrument console and panels. Though the fuel tank will also carry the same look, it will have a higher fuel carrying capacity. The Continental GT 750 cc will be built around a twin-downtube cradle frame. Even when it comes to the the seat, tail-piece and taillight, it will be shared with the current 535cc model.

While the 535cc Conti GT weighs 184 KGs, the upcoming Royal Enfield Continental 750cc model will surely weigh considerably more.
